Miraculous Events

Miraculous events are occurrences which we know with 100% certainty took place and that have no explanation, not even as spectacular coincidences, other than divine intervention. They reveal God’s love and presence. In this this section we will consider some of these.

The beneficiaries of God’s intervention in the Great Peshtigo Fire were both Catholics and others of unknown religiosity. The Miracle of the Holy Fire can rightfully be said to belong to the Eastern Orthodox faith, but witnesses come from all Christian traditions. Our Lady of China’s beneficiaries in 1900 were primarily Catholic; in 1995 the witnesses were primarily Catholic but other witnesses were both Christian and non-Christian. In Cokeville the beneficiaries were mostly Mormon children and other children of unidentified Christian churches.

No one Christian sub-faith has a monopoly on God’s saving grace.

As is the case of miraculous healings, a miraculous event always provides a clear sign of God’s intercession; it is much more than an event which is merely remarkable or improbable.

Additional articles will be added from time to time which describe events which can only be considered miraculous.
